snow day

Friday night I got home to a cozy house and snow on the ground.

Kade was up sick a lot on Friday night and every time I walked back to bed, 

I'd look outside and see the snow getting higher and higher.  

We woke up to 9 inches.

Ethan got right out and shoveled the driveway and the walks.

I am grateful that he always does that for us.

We went out and shook our tree.  It was so heavy with snow the branches were touching the top of the grass.  Lots of trees in the neighborhood had broken branches.

I made a warm breakfast and hot chocolate while the kids were out playing in the snow.

After breakfast they snuggled up for a show and I thought they looked so cute on the couch.

They went out and played with the neighbors for a while and then went to the Larsen's to play.

They were outside for so long playing.  They were frozen when they came home.

We went over to Eric and Jackie's to see their new puppies.

It was a fun day and I was glad that we were home to enjoy the snow.
