saturday adventure

I took the weekend off because Ethan was out of town.
We slept in on Saturday morning.
Got up and dressed and went out for an adventure.

First stop: The Provo Bakery.
It was pretty picked over by 10:20 when we finally got our butts there.
I parked in the sun and we are donuts out of the back of the Sube.
The scenery was gorgeous and the kids walked up and down that curb eating donuts.
Of course, we run into Cam as we are leaving.
The Cisneros fam loves the Provo Bakery as much as we do.

Second stop: The BYU library.
I wanted to make sure and see the Justin Hackworth exhibit before it was over.
The kids and I looked at all the portraits and then talked about which ones we liked the best and why.
Kade loved the Kelly McCaleb one and said it could have been me and Add if our our haircolor was switched.  (And Kelly has much LONGER hair than I do!)
Addi loved all the ones with young girls.
I was just happy to see them all and think about my little girl and our relationship.
We left notes in the guest book before we left.

Third Stop: The BYU Museum of Art
We had taken the kids here when everyone was visiting for Kade's baptism
and the kids remembered how cool the gift shop was.
We bought a Halloween book and some other little things.
So we went for the gift shop and then also checked out the Andy Warhol exhibit.

We had to stop by Old Navy and get Kade some new jeans.
He wanted to buy skinny jeans but was disturbed that they weren't skinny.
I had to explain that he has skinny legs and they fit just fine.
(same thing happened to Addi!)

We stopped at Which Wich for lunch.
Kade loves all the colored bags hanging up on the wall and decided to make one.
He made a Phineas and Ferb bag.
He was really proud of himself for thinking up his idea.

On the way home, Add asked if we could stop by the library.
Kade had a huge stack of books he was looking at, luckily he weaned a few out to bring home.

When we got home the kids played outside with the neighbors for a long time.
It was gorgeous weather, sunny and warm.
It definitely does not feel like fall quite yet.

Ethan is home today and we can't wait to see him!

I was just thinking about you this morning and wondering why you hadn't posted in awhile, so it's delightful to see a new post from you.

This looks like a fun outing. I love Which Wich!

P.S. The word verification makes me swear, I'm on my 5th attempt!!
