busy thursday.

Today was one of my days off and it was so busy.

I am so glad I have tomorrow off too.

First, 9:00 AM orthodontist appointment. 

In and out in 20 mins.  Love it. (Thanks Add for the shot)

10:00 AM --  Scales and Tails program at the library.

The kids loved it.  The guy is holding a tarantula. 

 He brought a ton of different reptiles and was full of information.  

We left the library a bit early to go to a Primary meeting at 11 AM.

After that we drove up to Mom and Paul's for the last swimming lesson and bbq. 

The kids have loved swimming the last two weeks.

I was happy to see Eric and Jackie up there today.

It was fun to chat with Jackie while Add was swimming 

(usually Add hogs Aunt Jackie)

Rick was peeling like crazy on his back and Add was peeling it.  

We were laughing that she was like a monkey.

There are so many wildfires in Utah right now.  We drove home from Mom's into this smoke filled sky.  It was really creepy and ominous.  There was ash all over the back deck.

Here you can't even see the mountains.

At 6 PM my visiting teaching partner/friend Roxanne and I were hosting two of our ladies for an ice cream social.  I made 3 kinds of ice-cream and she made chocolate and caramel sauces.  It was so good and a really fun way to do VT.  Add was so excited that we were having an "ice-cream party" after we ate she said, "what's next?"  I said "that's it, just chatting."  She was like, "that's it?  that's not a party!"

Ethan got home around 7:30 and made us hamburgers for dinner.  

He made cream cheese stuffed burgers and they were so good.  

I never want a burger w/o cream cheese again.  

Add ate a quarter of a mini watermelon with a spoon and called it dinner.  

I was happy to see the skies clearing up before the sun went down.  

The mountains to the south of us are still pretty smokey.  We are all praying for rain.

Kade and Ethan watching Wipeout.  These boys are so cute and laugh at the fools on the show.  

They are also into the Olympic prelims and X games.

Kade fell off his scooter today and got some gross road rash.  

I told him remember those bikers and skaters have to just get back up.

Add just got out of the bath.  While bathing she asked me if I would some Little House to her.  I don't think she was paying attention as well as I would have liked.  I think she really just wanted me to sit with her and knew if she asked me to read I would.  Smart girl.

It's been a long, busy day and I'm excited to put on pjs (bra is long gone) and finish the book I'm reading.  Tomorrow I am laying low for the day and then seeing Ryan Innes in the evening.
