Well we had a wild end of the week.
Ethan got really sick in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
He was puking for hours and couldn't catch his breath.
Then his chest was hurting.
He called Kurt (EMT grad) who suggested getting to the hospital ASAP for fluids.
I thought he was having a heart attack so I took him to the ER.
I was a nervous wreck driving him there (especially since I had just gotten that dumb speeding ticket)
He ended up needing lots and lots of fluids and two doses of anti-nausea medicine.
Luckily, his heart was fine but he was really dehydrated.
When we got home from the hospital, Jody asked me to send her a pic of Ethan to see that he was OK.
This is what I sent:
I don't know what made him so sick but it really threw him for a loop.
He didn't eat anything all day Thursday (just Zofran and water) and slept and slept.
Friday, liquids and a little soup.
I made him get out of the house and we picked the kids up at school.
We ended up with Cam & Mase too.
By Saturday, I forced him to eat toast and finish two gatorades. He was able to eat dinner.
Finally by today he can eat but he says nothing tastes good.
Unfortunately, I worked all weekend...Fri, Sat and Sunday.

My Mom -- she drove down from Riverton at 8 AM to watch Add while we were gone.
Cam & Mich -- got Kade on the bus and fed him breakfast while we ran out the door
and didn't laugh at me when I knocked on their door in tears.
Kurt -- for the moral support while you guys had your own crazy week.
(PS -- KURT AND MEGHAN HAD A BABY BOY!)
everyone else who called to check on Ethan and prayed for us.
Costco -- for great insurance.
( though, I'm still not looking forward to the bill. )
oh and my friends who hopefully understood why I didn't make it to the Valentine's party.

That sounds horrible! I'm glad things are looking up. Hope this is a better week for sure:)
So glad he's feeling a bit better...and hope he continues to do so.
It's so not fun when you or your spouse get that sick. You are crazy worried and stressed for so many reasons and it's just HARD!
Here's to hoping this doesn't happen any time soon...or ever again right?!
Sweet girl, we will still be having Valentines Day Party's when we are in our 90's!! Don't even worry. I'm glad E is feeling better. Like I said we had quite the scare with Whit Whit last week. I totally understand!
Glad Ethan is on the mend, that can really do a job on tour body please take care.

Hope you don't get whatever he had. We call sickness like that death. Not the stomach flu. Just death. "Are you sick?" "Yes, I have the death."

i'm so glad he is doing better. that sounds awful and very scary!
That just sounds awful. I hope that he is back to himself now.
That is so scary! I am so glad that it wasn't his heart that was causing the problem.
It is good that you are surrounded with nice frineds and got the help you needed.
